William Pontus b. 1585; m. 4 December 1610 Wybra Hanson at Leiden, Holland; d. 9 February 1652 at Plymouth, Plymouth, MA
Their Children:
1. Mary b. 15 October 1622 at Leiden, Holland; m(1) 31 October 1645 James Glass; m(2) 17 January 1654 Philip Delano; d. 5 July 1682 at Plymouth, Plymouth, MA
2. Hannah b. 1624 at Leiden, Holland; m(1) 18 December 1644 John Churchill at Plymouth, Plymouth, MA; m(2) 25 June 1669 Gyles Rickard; d. 22 December 1690

      William was in Plymouth by 1632. He was a member of the Separatist church in Leiden, Holland. He was a fustian worker in the Marendorp near Douven around 1610. Later on 15 October 1622 he was listed as a wool-carder living in the Zevenhuysen district and was considered too poor to be taxed.
      William was listed as a freeman in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA in the 1633 lists. He was on the tax lists in 1633 and 1634. In 1638-1640, he was one of the men who repaired the herring weir in town . At his death, his inventory , including real-estate, was a total of £12 17s.
