      Henry Wood was first  found in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA on 16 September 1641. On that date he bought the house and land of john Dunham for seven pounds. He was listed in Plymouth as one of the men able to bear arms. He later moved to Yarmouth, Banrstable, MA. In 1649 he returned to Plymouth, By 1665 he moved to Middleboro, Plymouth, MA. Though not one of the original purchasers he did get the share of John Shaw as part of his original homestead. Henry was one of the original proprietors of the Little Lotmen's Purchase. The home was near the General Abiel Washburn place. He was a freeman in 1648, He served as grand juror 1648, 1656, 1659, and 1668. In 1665 he had one share of thirty acres on the west side of the Nenasket River.
